Do you ever find yourself looking at the world through the lens of deficiency? There’s not enough time/money/energy to do all that you want to do? Have you noticed that your "default setting" is one of habitual dissatisfaction, especially in your interactions with others?

Talking to ourselves and each other using the language of deficiency and dissatisfaction can disconnect us from our own vitality and separate us from others. In addition, research in neurocardiology indicates that when people operate from an internal sense of lack they experience higher levels of stress, and the quality and longevity of their lives is reduced.

In this series of four Monday night classes, we’ll explore several Nonviolent Communication (NVC) practices developed by international NVC trainer Robert Gonzales to transform pain to clarity, compassion, and empowerment. We’ll employ individual inquiry and both small- and large-group work to apply these practices directly to our own lives. Because a familiarity with NVC self-empathy and expression is the foundation for the material covered in this series, at least 6 hours of prior NVC training is needed to register for it. Check the schedule in the "Upcoming Events" bar to the right for information about upcoming NVC workshops you can attend to meet this request for prior training. Attending "The Way of Connection" workshop offered by CNVC-certified trainer Robert Gonzales on May 29th will not only meet this prerequisite, but will provide you with the opportunity to explore several of the practices we'll be using, led by the person who created them!

* All who have met the prior NVC training requirement are encouraged to register for this event. Work exchange and partial scholarships may be available for those needing them to participate.
