A new website has been created to provide support for UUs learning and practicing Compassionate (Nonviolent) Communication and other interpersonal peacemaking skills and approaches. It can be found at http://uuspeakpeace.org/web.

Network of Spiritual Progressives
An invitation has been extended to all UUs from the Network of Spiritual Progressives to join in with NSP members on Thursday, April 10, at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET, for the first in a monthly series of complimentary conference calls designed to help you live by a "new bottom line" of open-heartedness and generosity with the support of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Facilitator will be Miki Kashtan, certified CNVC trainer and cofounder of BayNVC. On each call, they hope to work with real communication challenges NSP members are facing. For example, is there someone with whom you'd like to express yourself with more authenticity and clarity? To whom do you have trouble responding with compassion? Where are you finding it difficult to live in line with your values? (If you would like to learn more about the format of these calls, see the article Miki wrote for the last issue of TIKKUN Magazine. The article is available free online at http://www.tikkun.org/magazine/tik0803/frontpage/peace.)
To join the call at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET on April 10, dial 1-888-346-3950 and enter access code 11978#. Please state your name quickly, immediately after the prompt, to avoid interrupting a conversation in process. Calls will be recorded and posted on their website at http://www.spiritualprogressives.org/article.php?story=20080313121202793.
